BL!SSS Magazine
Get your ass out there and grab the newest issue of BLI!SSS Magazine.
The featured artist is Randy Noborikawa. He is a good friend of EC and the artist who hand paints all of EC's art boards.
When asked by BL!SSS if Randy shaped the boards he gracefully replied: "Hell no, they are shaped by Eric Christenson, a good friend of mine. He is an amazing shaper. He keeps his stealth profile by riding bikes as much as he shapes surfboards, as depicted by his logo. Seriously, he's a master craftsman and he lets me design wacky tails."
Randy and Eric have been preparing for an art show in early 2008 that will feature hand-shaped custom shred sleds of assorted shapes and sizes to serve as canvas' for Randy's unique artwork.
Get ready for some insane demonstrations of artistry and craftsmanship.

New Shred Sled
As winter marches on, I figured it was time for a new addition to the quiver. Something that felt wintery. Hence,
With hopes of large surf in the forecast I went for a 6'3" step-up, pintail, mini-gun type thing, shaped by Dan Taylor. The spray job is a custom Patrick Bateman stencil I made in the garage.
Now I just need some solid NW swell...this round of swell didn't do much up here in N. OC. There was some size, but lacking shape. :(

****** Camping Trip
We got skunked.
Wetsand said it was going to be 20ft. Surfline said head high. It was chest high junk.
No worries, we found other stuff to do...
Shoot Cans.
Watch the sunset.
Wear lots of neoprene.

Surf Trip to ******
The Surf&Destroy posse is heading up to ****** this weekend for a surf trip.
The forecast...
isn't looking too hot, but we have been watching our fair share of Survivorman and Man vs. Wild to get pumped on new survival techniques.
As H.R. of Bad Brains once said, "Go to keep my PMA." So we will keep our fingers crossed and hope for some waves and cooperative wind.
Anyways, expect photos and videos to be posted next week. Along with some boardporn from doucheMcgGregor and danimal.

New Additions
P-cakes picked up two new shred sleds from EC recently.
This here is a 9'2" Mod Sled. This board is one of EC's newest designs and this is the first one with a diamond tail. This board handles everything quite well: off the top, off the bottom, and most importantly, on the nose. I have heard through the grapevine that the Greenough 4A is the fin of choice on this model. P-cakes has chosen a 9" Good Karma fin by Joel Tudor Surfboards to suit his sliding pleasures.
Next, we have a 5'8" Phryed Fish. A staple in many quivers. For flyin' down the line and G-Force turns, look no further. EC has narrowed the tail a bit on the newer editions and they seem to be working insane, as always. Hand foiled plywood fins by EC.

the last couple parts of this part are absolutely fucking insane. one slip and that fool is dusted by not only a 50+ foot fall, but the traffic too.
i'm going to santa cruz for the weekend. this time i will take pictures of the scotts valley park and the new santa cruz park. all we are planning to do all weekend is shred. until sunday: capt mouth out.
