Long but really interesting

Last Priest

Call me lazy but this record has eluded me for over three years, and today I finally got my clammy hands on it, thank you Meg Whitman (har har har). One time my pal Manny and I went to go see Last Priest and some other bands at the Che but got down there way too early so we went to Mexico. Bad idea, we missed all of the other bands we wanted to see, I didn't get this 7" and I got diarrhea. But we did make it back in time to see Last Priest end the show which made it all worthwhile. That was a good night.

No Last Priest videos up on red tube to share with you folks so here is a Find Him and Kill Him video, basically the same shit plus or minus a few dudes, enjoy!

Kick Out the Jamz

Made my monthly amoeba run last night and had some good finds...
STZ Human Performance 7" was a mail order that came yesterday as well I just threw it in because they are absolutely killer, listen to them! Classic Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello & the Attractions live @ Hollywood High in 1978 (awesooooome version of "Accidents Will Happen"), Moz b-sides from Bona Drag, Kill Uncle, and Your Arsenal, as well as some classic late 1960's skinhead reggae from Trojan Records. Bye-bye paycheck...

Amoeba

I had to go to the La Brea tar pits for school today and swung by Amoeba on the way home for a trade in. I was able to snag October File, Creedence Chronicle, "if'n", and "Ragin', Full-On".

I was pleasantly surprised to see the note from John Fogerty to Watt on the bottom of "if'n" (sent to Watt after D. Boon passed).

Mail Call

I ordered these records in November and they didn't show up until today. I had more or less forgotten about them so seeing them on my doorstep today was quite a pleasant surprise.

I got Virgin Witch's self titled 7" and the Cracked Pelvis ep from Mature Situations. Mature Situations is a shitty punk band and the Virgin Witch 7" is kinda sludgy and evil. They're both out on free cake records which has a pretty killer media library worth checkin out: http://www.freecakefreecake.com/main.php?p=media. The Surroundings album on there sounds choice and I'll be ordering it shortly.

On a related note I somehow managed to slip out of Amoeba the other day with two of my favorite records for under $20. Tom Waits' Nighthawks at the Diner and Billy Bragg's Workers Playtime, shit yeah for me.

Mail Call

Today was a good mail day as I got my Converge pre-order, and the latest Hope Con 7' from Deathwish. Also received my RevHQ order which included Mourningside's debut 7' and my favorite Mother of Mercy 7' which I lagged on getting when it came out. I love that Revelation is in Huntington, I order something and it is usually on my doorstep two days later.
And here is my latest (limited funds) Amoeba run including classic Billy Bragg and Nomos (listen to them).
On an unrelated note: WWII in HD on the History Channel tonight, if you haven't been watching get on it, its dope.
